Small Choices Project: Two Months In

Small Choices Project

“We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” – Joseph Campbell

I started this year-long project 2 months and 13 days ago.

Okay, so I haven’t stuck to my idea of writing one entry for every day. After falling behind a week and feeling guilty, I decided the guilt and lack of sleep to stay up until an entry was written just wasn’t worth it. Instead, I’ll keep working toward 365 total days of writing.

Besides that, I’m fulfilling my main objectives of 1) focusing on my own passions and counting my blessings to help divert comparing myself to others, 2) writing more regularly, and 3) keeping track of my “small choices” to see how life changes after a year.

Having a guide in Sarah Ban Breathnach’s book, Something More… has been helpful in coming up with topics, but mostly, the focus in writing about what life is teaching me or has taught me has really helped me see the blessings in my life.

Here’s to the next 325 days!
